Italy: New Vehicular Access to the Port of Genoa Inaugurated
The Port of Genoa inaugurated a new vehicular access by expanding the Strada della Superba road, which connects to the Papa Bridge. The infrastructure, with four lanes on the elevated road and two at ground level, is part of a redevelopment program valued at approximately 175.6 million euros covering the Sampierdarena basin. According to Matteo Paroli, president of the Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority, the commissioning of these first 3 km represents a strategic step for Genoa and its logistics system.
