King Willem-Alexander inaugurates the first section of the national hydrogen network in the Port of Rotterdam
King Willem-Alexander symbolically activated the first section of the national hydrogen network in the Port of Rotterdam, a 32-kilometer pipeline between Maasvlakte and Pernis. Construction began in October 2023. The network, which will span approximately 1,200 kilometers, will be expanded to the main industrial regions of the Netherlands and connected to networks in Germany and Belgium, forming a fundamental pillar for an integrated European energy system.
