A55 Martigues Viaduct: Maintenance restrictions and surcharges for heavy vehicles

We would like to inform you that maintenance works will be carried out on the Martigues Viaduct (A55) from 15 July to 14 August 2026. The main restriction will be in effect from 21 July to 11 August 2026:

• Heavy goods vehicles with a gross weight exceeding 26 tonnes will not be permitted to use the Martigues Viaduct. A diversion route via the north of the Étang de Berre will be implemented.
• Traffic will be maintained on two narrowed lanes in each direction, with a speed limit of 50 km/h through the work zone.

These measures are expected to result in significant increases in road transit times for shipments to and from the Fos-sur-Mer area. Consequently, for all transports performed by vehicles with a gross weight exceeding 26 tonnes that would normally use this route, an exceptional surcharge of EUR 180 per transport will be applied to cover the additional costs generated by the mandatory diversion during the affected period.
