Wison New Energies officially signed the Epcic (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, and Commissioning) contract with Eni and Altera Infrastructure for the floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) platform for the Baleine Phase 3 offshore oil and gas field in Ivory Coast.
This contract consolidates Wison's participation from basic engineering (FEED) to Epcic execution, demonstrating its comprehensive capability for global offshore oil and gas development. It also represents a significant milestone for the company in the FPSO sector.
The Baleine Phase 3 project is being developed by Eni in Ivory Coast, with Altera Infrastructure as the owner and operator, a company that also previously participated as a contractor in the redeployment of the FPSO and floating storage and offloading (FSO) platform installed in Baleine Phase 2.
The floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) platform will operate at depths of between 800 and 1,200 meters. It is designed to process up to 90 thousand barrels of oil per day, 80 thousand barrels of produced water per day, and 4.5 million standard cubic meters of natural gas per day, with an expected lifespan of at least 20 years.
The unit will have approximate dimensions of 308 by 57 meters and 29.8 meters in depth. This FPSO platform will constitute fundamental infrastructure for the efficient development of regional oil and gas resources.
