Italy's Port of Naples completed its first LNG ship-to-ship bunkering operation for the Sun Princess cruise ship, utilizing the specialized vessel Green Zeebrugge operated by Axpo. The operation resulted from collaboration between Axpo, Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore (BV), and Studio di Ingegneria Benvenuto & Associati, with BV conducting technical review to verify compliance with Italian maritime regulations. The achievement supports Italy's cruise industry's transition toward low-emission operations.
