Viking's European River fleet has just expanded with the arrival of two new vessels: Viking Annar and Viking Fjolvar.
The pair of ships brings the cruise line's total count of river ships to 92.
Viking Annar has capacity for 190 passengers and will sail Rhine, Main and Danube rivers on the cruise line's Rhine Getaway, Grand European Tour, Passage to Eastern Europe, European Sojourn and Christmas on the Rhine itineraries.
Viking Fjolvar, on the other hand, has been built specifically to sail France's Seine River. The ship has capacity for 168 passengers and will sail roundtrip from Paris on itineraries that include Paris & the Heart of Normandy and the new Christmastime in Paris & Normandy.
"We are proud to welcome the Viking Annar and the Viking Fjolvar to our growing fleet of award-winning river ships," said Leah Talactac, President and CEO of Viking. "Exploring by river offers an unmatched way to discover a destination's history, culture and local life, and these new vessels allow even more curious travelers to experience Europe in Viking comfort."
Viking's growth spurt is set to continue, with an additional 22 new river ships scheduled to arrive by 2028. Additionally, the cruise line will welcome nine new ocean ships and two new expedition ships by 2031.
