The Port of Dover welcomed the Silversea Silver Spirit on its inaugural call, coinciding at its docks with the Azamara Journey from Azamara Cruises.
The event marked the third of the first six calls of the English terminal's 2026 season, following the Sapphire Princess and TUI Cruises' Mein Schiff 2. Meanwhile, the MS Europa 2 will arrive on July 16, followed by the Scenic Eclipse and the Viking Mera in September.
Peter Wright, Head of Cruise at the Port of Dover, said that "Dover's famous history, monuments, and views make it a truly special cruise destination, whether as a homeport or a call, as Azamara Cruises experienced for the second time this year."
"The port's cruise sector continues to grow strongly and is an important part of the local tourism economy, connecting hundreds of visitors from around the world with the wonderful attractions we have within reach during each call," Wright acknowledged.
Passengers of the Silver Spirit were able to enjoy the appeal of Dover Castle, as did guests of the Azamara Journey, who visited the White Cliffs and the town of Deal before setting sail.
