Santander, July 8, 2026. The Port Authority of Santander (APS) has put out to public tender the paving of the southern road of the ACTIMARSA industrial estate, with the aim of “increasing traffic safety, restoring adequate road conditions for internal mobility within the industrial estate and as the main access to the Marina del Cantábrico sports port”, as explained by the president of the APS, César Díaz.
Díaz pointed out that “over time, the pavement has experienced significant deterioration due to natural wear and continuous use”. A process that “has been especially aggravated by the frequent transit of heavy vehicles, characteristic of an industrial environment, and which needs to be repaired.”
The area of action is located in the municipality of Camargo, within the Service Zone of the Port Authority, and includes a road 1,800 meters long and 12 meters wide which, together with the intersections with the transversal roads, covers an area of approximately 22,000 square meters.
The project, which has a base tender budget of 826,300 euros, contemplates an execution period of three months. Interested companies may submit their bids until August 3.
The works include milling of the existing pavement, remediation and regularization of areas with deficient bearing capacity, laying of hot bituminous mixture pavement, construction of speed reducers such as speed humps and raised pedestrian crossings, and painting of road markings and placement of vertical signage.
