Ukraine Strikes Black Sea Oil Terminals as Russia Unleashes Drone Barrage
Following the end of a temporary ceasefire, Russia launched 1,428 drones over 24 hours from Wednesday into Thursday, described as the largest sustained drone attack of the war, while Ukraine intensified strikes on Russian energy infrastructure. Ukraine's Special Operations Forces targeted the Tamanneftegaz terminal near the Kerch Strait and the Port of Taman, causing large explosions and fires. Russia's oil production is projected to fall to a nearly 20-year low in 2026, similar to 2009 levels, due to Western sanctions and Ukraine's ongoing attacks.
