The Punta Chungo Terminal of Minera Los Pelambres Port (Los Vilos, Chile) has completed the shipment of 30 million tons of copper concentrate in its 26-year history.
The milestone was published on the social media of one of the facility's owning companies, Antofagasta Minerals, where it was stated that the figure "reflects a sustainable operation and the articulated work of teams that, from the mountains to the coast, make every stage of the productive process possible."
Furthermore, it was added that "the history began in January 2000 with the first shipment that transported 10,497 tons."
At the same time, it was reported that to date, the facility has received a total of 1,315 vessel arrivals.
