The Central Adriatic Sea Port Authority (ADSP) presented the first proposal for the new Port Regulatory Plan for the Port of Pesaro (Italy). The document was submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security.
Details of this milestone were provided on the ADSP website, stating that "the content of the document was presented to port stakeholders to begin collecting and evaluating their input, which can also be received after the meeting."
It was also added that "the document, which represents an opportunity to share and jointly develop a proposal for the development of the port, the city, and the territory, was presented in the Red Room of the City Hall in the presence of the Mayor of Pesaro, Andrea Biancani, the extraordinary commissioner of the Central Adriatic Sea Port System Authority, Vincenzo Garofalo, the Secretary General of the ADSP, Salvatore Minervino, and the commander of the Port Authority of Pesaro, Frigate Captain Nicola Gaudino."
Furthermore, details of the aforementioned plan were provided, assuring that "it is based on the definition of the port areas, its area of influence, and the interaction between the port and the city, as outlined in the Port System Planning Document, approved by decree of the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport on April 16, 2024. This document was subject to extensive debate during the drafting phase with institutions and stakeholders."
Finally, it was added that "the objectives of the Port Development Plan (PDSP) for the Port of Pesaro include improving land accessibility and mobility, supporting shipbuilding and nautical activities, promoting tourism development, and establishing a land reclamation basin to ensure adequate volumes and surfaces for the management of dredged sediments," the circular concluded.
