Norwegian Cruise Line has summer deals on close-to-home voyages from 15 homeports across the US and Canada to the Caribbean, Bahamas, Bermuda and Alaska, while MSC Cruises USA sales include MSC Poesia's current Alaska season cruises and $250 off departures from US homeports.
NCL is offering 50% off all cruises from US and Canadian homeports, plus kids sail free on select dates.
The offer is paired with NCL's Free at Sea, which gives savings on a choice of amenities including unlimited open bar, specialty dining, shore excursions and Wi-Fi.
From June through September, four NCL ships are sailing to the Caribbean and Bahamas from PortMiami and Port Canaveral on three-, four- and seven-day itineraries that visit Great Stirrup Cay and such destinations as Cozumel, St. Thomas, Tortola and Falmouth (Jamaica). The new Norwegian Luna is offering seven-day roundtrips from Miami to the Eastern Caribbean.
NCL is particularly touting its newly enhanced private island, Great Stirrup Cay, with cruises starting at $349. There, Great Tides Waterpark's grand opening is scheduled for Sept. 4.
Other summer choices include Bermuda cruises from Boston, New York and, new this year, Philadelphia, where Norwegian Jewel is embarking on weeklong cruises through August. Many cruises overnight in Bermuda.
Beginning in September, Norwegian Jewel will sail 11-day cruises to Canada/New England.
And, in Alaska, seven-day voyages departing from Seattle call at Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway, while Norwegian Jade offers seven-day cruises from Vancouver, BC, that can be extended with a land package.
MSC Cruises USA's July 4 deal includes summer sailings from the line's newest North American homeport, Seattle, to Alaska on MSC Poesia with 40% off fares and kids go free.
Another July 4 sale component is $250 off cruises from US homeports.
In addition, MSC Cruises USA's Epic Europe Sale, dangling $600 off cruises in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe, is extended to June 29.
