Neptun Werft officially handed over Viking Annar and Viking Fjolvar in a Basel ceremony a day after the June 10 technical delivery by the project management team in Lelystad, Netherlands.
The 135-meter Viking Annar accommodates 190 passengers and 53 crew and will operate on the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers. The first travelers are scheduled to embark June 22 in Amsterdam.
At 125 meters, Viking Fjolvar — shortened by 10 meters to enable navigation of the Seine into the heart of Paris — is currently the last vessel in the company's Seine series. Viking Fjolvar can carry 168 passengers and 46 crew and is scheduled to welcome its first guests on July 4.
Neptun Werft Managing Director Stephan Happe expressed satisfaction for the continuing partnership with Viking.
