Hapag-Lloyd Cruises announced new premiere routes for its 2027/28 season across its five-ship fleet of luxury and expedition vessels.
Hapag-Lloyd Cruises developed new itineraries featuring first-time port calls and route combinations across its Europa, Europa 2, and three Hanseatic expedition ships.
The 2027/28 programme includes more than 500 ports of call globally. Key developments include the first winter season deployment to the Indian Ocean, a unique combination of all five Great Lakes in North America with the St Lawrence River and in-depth cruises in the Philippines and along the American West Coast.
Europa will operate a 29-day cruise in February 2027 combining South, Central and North America for the first time. The itinerary spans eight countries from Valparaiso to San Francisco, passing under the Golden Gate Bridge.
In 2028, Europa will offer two coordinated cruises exploring the Philippines in depth, featuring 13 calls at ten different ports. The itinerary includes a premiere call at Mantigue Island and ranges from Manila to islands accessible only to smaller vessels.
Europa 2 will introduce a new South Seas route to Papua New Guinea and Palau, targeting remote destinations. A separate Costa Rica-focused itinerary in early 2028 will feature multiple first-time calls including Isla Tortuga and Puerto Jimenez.
Hanseatic nature will spend its first winter season in the Indian Ocean rather than polar regions, visiting Madagascar, the Seychelles and Mauritius. The deployment takes advantage of the vessel's shallow draught to access remote islands with visitor restrictions.
Three new 14-day Antarctic cruises focusing on South Georgia and the Antarctic Peninsula have been designed for early 2028 to accommodate passengers with limited time availability.
Hanseatic inspiration will become the only cruise vessel to combine all five Great Lakes with a St Lawrence River passage in a single cruise during summer 2027. The ship's retractable bridge wings enable passage through the waterway's locks.
Hanseatic spirit will debut in Australia's Kimberley region in May 2028, accessing remote areas characterised by sandstone coastlines, rock formations and waterfalls including King George Falls.
Sample cruise pricing ranges from €7,970 for a 12-day Indian Ocean cruise to €15,490 for the 21-day Great Lakes itinerary. Early booking discounts apply to select cruises with validity dates extending to February 2027.
