ZPMC Finishes Hull Assembly of Service Operation Vessel for French Operator LDA

Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC) completed the main hull assembly of the first Service Operation Vessel (SOV) for French offshore wind operator LD Armateurs (LDA). The 90-meter vessel, designed for global operations in severe sea conditions, accommodates up to 96 technicians on missions exceeding 30 days. Featuring diesel-electric hybrid propulsion with lithium-battery backup and DP2 dynamic positioning, the SOV will be deployed at DanTysk and Sandbank offshore wind farms in Germany for long-term maintenance support.
