The Denmark-flagged Ro-Ro cargo vessel Primula Seaways successfully refloated after it ran aground in Terneuzen, Netherlands, on 7 August. No injuries or pollution were reported.

The incident occurred at around 10:25 a.m. local time, when the vessel ran aground with its bow against the river bank in the western foreport of Terneuzen, prompting a response from Rijkswaterstaat, the Netherlands' maritime authority, which dispatched the patrol boat Maeslant to assess the situation. Three tugs, along with the port tender Patriot, were mobilised to refloat the vessel.
After two hours of effort, the vessel was successfully refloated with assistance from the tugs. The shipping traffic experienced no delays or disruptions following the incident.
Primula Seaways is a 2004-built vessel that measures 199.8 meters in length and is 29.5 meters in width. The vessel departed from Terneuzen on 9 August and is scheduled to arrive at Goteborg, Sweden on 10 August.
