The containership HT Capricorn was sold to unidentified buyers based in Asia for a price of USD 48 million. The vessel is currently under a charter agreement with Cosco Shipping Lines until the end of 2028.
The ship was launched in 2010, sails under the Liberian flag, and is "under Chinese control," according to Alphaliner. It has a capacity to mobilize 5,089 TEU, is 294 meters long, 32 meters wide, and has a deadweight of 63,059 tons.
"The HT Capricorn was built in 2010 in China by the Jiangnan Changxing shipyard, originally under the name RHL Fidelitas, for the German shipowner Reederei Hamburger Lloyd (RHL)," the consultancy reported.
"The vessel is equipped with 385 connections for refrigerated containers (reefers) and currently has an exhaust gas cleaning system (scrubber)," it added.
