CMA CGM announced the arrival in Le Havre of the CMA CGM Notre Dame, the Group's new flagship and the world's largest container ship operating under the French flag.
With a length of almost 400 meters, a beam of 61 meters, and a capacity to transport up to 24,000 containers, the CMA CGM Notre Dame is the first vessel in a series of ten new-generation container ships named after great symbols of French heritage.
Powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) and equipped with the Group's latest innovations in energy efficiency, this vessel represents CMA CGM's commitment to the decarbonization of maritime transport.
The christening of the CMA CGM Notre Dame will take place on Thursday, July 2, in the presence of representatives from the maritime, economic, and institutional sectors.
To commemorate its first call, CMA CGM invites amateur and professional photographers to capture the arrival and presence of the ship in Le Havre. A photography contest has been launched to showcase the best images taken from the coast.
