KCC Completes Sea Trials of MV Baltazar, Third CABU III Vessel

Klaveness Combination Carriers ASA reported that it is one step closer to a full fleet, after its third and final new CABU III vessel, MV Baltazar, was seen navigating during its official sea trials. It will soon become KCC's 19th vessel.

Sea trials mark an important milestone in testing the vessel's equipment, systems, and performance before delivery and its first voyages.

Like its sister ships, the MV Baltazar represents KCC's next generation of combination carriers, offering increased revenue capacity and a significantly lower carbon footprint compared to the first-generation CABUs they will eventually replace.

Highlighting the MV Baltazar are the two 24-meter bound4blue suction sails that rise on the bow. The vessel will become the first ship in the fleet equipped with wind-assisted propulsion, further enhancing the already efficient CABU III design and reinforcing KCC's desire to lead in low-emission tanker and dry bulk transport.
