HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. announced that it secured a 956 billion won ($675.1 million) contract to supply motor generators to the U.S. group Corban Energy Group.
The South Korean shipyard and engine manufacturer revealed that it will deliver power generation equipment with a combined capacity of 1,000 megawatts to power data centers operated by a major U.S.-based technology company.
Corban Energy Group is an energy engineering and infrastructure company specializing in storage, transportation, power generation, and energy solutions for liquefied natural gas (LNG) data centers.
This agreement represents the largest contract ever signed by HD Hyundai Heavy for power generation engines. In April, the company signed a 627.1 billion won agreement with U.S. energy infrastructure developer AEG to supply power generation facilities for data centers.
