FPSO Greater PAJ: Azule Energy Begins Construction at Chinese Shipyard

Azule Energy, a joint venture of Eni and BP, celebrated the first steel cutting ceremony for the topside processing modules of the Greater PAJ FPSO, which will be deployed in a project for Angola's offshore energy sector.

The activity, which took place at CIMC Raffles' Haiyang shipyard in China, brought together representatives from Azule Energy and CIMC Raffles.

"This milestone, reached one month after the Final Investment Decision (FID) of the Greater PAJ Project, reflects the commitment that Azule Energy, its partners, and CIMC Raffles share to deliver the project on time to Angola. The Greater PAJ FPSO Project is a remarkable example of international collaboration, engineering excellence, and a shared commitment to safety, quality, and execution," Azule Energy stated in a public announcement.

As construction progresses, the Greater PAJ Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading (FPSO) platform will play a significant role in supporting the development of Angola's deepwater resources.
