At the T. Mariotti shipyard in Genoa, the launching ceremony for the Amangati, the first cruise ship of the luxury line Aman At Sea, took place. The event signifies the completion of the first phase of construction.
The vessel will now be moved to the outfitting dock, where work on the ship's interior finishes will commence.
The luxury yacht will feature 47 suites, the Aman Spa (the largest in the luxury yacht sector), four exclusive restaurants, the Selora lounge, and a marina.
"This is a defining moment in the history of Aman at Sea. To see Amangati painted, afloat, and taking shape for the first time is to witness years of design, craftsmanship, and vision coming together on the water. We thank the T. Mariotti shipyard, Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, and everyone who has contributed to Amangati reaching this milestone. Every step we take from now on brings us closer to welcoming our first guests aboard next May," stated Jonathan Wilson, Chairman and CEO of Aman at Sea.
The Amangati will embark on its maiden voyage on May 7, 2027; a six-night journey from Palma de Mallorca to Nice. The ship's inaugural Mediterranean season will include voyages of five to eight nights across the Mediterranean, Adriatic, Ionian, and Aegean Seas.
