With a 5.5% increase compared to last year, the first half of 2026 registered significant growth, allowing for the mobilization of 16,338,532 tons of total cargo, including petroleum products. Between January and June of this year, 10,341,928 tons were handled in imports alone, while exports also showed significant growth compared to the same period last year, with 2,384,112 tons mobilized. Regarding transshipment, 2,294,282 tons were mobilized, and in cabotage, 1,318,210 tons. Even when discounting petroleum products, a 4.9% increase was observed compared to the first half of last year. Commercial cargo alone, excluding petroleum products, saw 15,513,965 tons mobilized during the first half of the year, while in the same period last year, 14,783,862 tons were operated. This represents 730,103 tons more than last year. The National Port System Administration Manzanillo works daily to streamline activities within the port area, with the firm goal of continuing to position Manzanillo among the top ports in America.
