Disruptions to maritime traffic at North Sea Port have entered their ninth day. The situation is due to protests led by pilots who are demonstrating against the potential entry of the private sector into the industry.
The demonstrations have been concentrated at the Belgian substation in Ghent.
According to the transnational maritime facility (Netherlands-Belgium), 8 vessels remain unable to depart from the port due to the pilots' protests.
Regarding incoming vessels, it has been reported that 6 have been unable to enter, totaling 17 vessels affected due to the mobilization.
North Sea Port is expected to provide a new update on its maritime traffic conditions during the day.
