Copenhagen Malmö Port appointed Kristian Durhuus as its new CEO, effective June 1.
The appointment follows the departure of Barbara Scheel Agersnap, who concluded her eight-year tenure as CEO in March.
Durhuus brings extensive leadership experience from the transport sector, having most recently served as CEO of Molslinjen and Øresundslinjen. His background also includes a role as COO at Copenhagen Airports.
His experience spans infrastructure and transport companies, with particular expertise in strategy, business development, digitalisation and sustainability transitions.
Claus Juhl, chairman of the board, Copenhagen Malmö Port, said Durhuus "demonstrated a strong ability to drive growth and transformation in complex organisations, combined with a clear business focus and an inclusive leadership style. At a time when we are focusing on growth and the development of our business, Kristian is a very strong profile for CMP."
The incoming CEO expressed enthusiasm about joining the organisation during its strategic development phase.
"I am very much looking forward to becoming part of Copenhagen Malmö Port and to further developing the company in line with the new strategy together with the organisation," he said. "CMP holds a strong position in an attractive region, and I see great potential to continue developing the business with a focus on sustainable growth and increased competitiveness."
