Yantai Port, belonging to the Shandong Port Group (SPG), has reached a new milestone in its Middle East services, exceeding 300,000 cubic meters of annual cargo volume.
The latest shipments, which included steel products and industrial equipment from Jiangsu, Hebei, and Northeast China, were consolidated at Penglai Port before departing for Middle Eastern markets.
This growth reflects the increasing importance of Yantai Port as a logistics gateway connecting manufacturers in northern China with international markets. Thanks to cooperation with Liaoning and Hebei ports, the port has developed an efficient regional network and strengthened cargo connections in the Bohai Sea basin.
Yantai currently operates regular services connecting major ports in the Bohai Sea basin with Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern markets, providing manufacturers with stable and efficient access to foreign customers.
The port is also expanding its services beyond traditional port operations. Now, industrial materials can be shipped to Penglai, moved to nearby factories for processing and assembly, and then returned to the port for export as finished products, thus creating a more integrated logistics and manufacturing chain.
Yantai Port is also expanding its reach in the Bohai Sea region, channeling more cargo from Weifang, Zibo, and other inland areas through Longkou Port, with direct shipping services to Dubai, Oman, and other Middle Eastern markets.
