DP World will construct a new temperature-controlled logistics center at the Port of Antwerp. The project begins with an initial investment of €48 million (USD 55.4 million), with additional infrastructure investments planned in later phases, bringing the total long-term investment to approximately €100 million (USD 115 million).
Developed in collaboration with logistics real estate specialist Montea and Maatschappij Linkerscheldeoever (MLSO), the new facility will occupy an 83,000 m² plot adjacent to DP World's Antwerp Gateway terminal.
Once operational, it will combine over 55,000 m² of specialized warehouses with direct access to the terminal and multimodal transport operations, further strengthening DP World's comprehensive logistics offering in one of Europe's main commercial hubs.
Approximately half of the warehouse capacity will be dedicated to perishable goods, such as bananas and other fresh produce, offering customers temperature-controlled storage tailored to different types of cargo. It will also serve clients in the chemical and technology sectors, creating a specialized hub for integrated cold chain logistics, complemented by value-added services such as consolidation, deconsolidation, and other specialized handling services.
Located near Antwerp Gateway, the facility will allow customers to benefit from integrated port and logistics services, combining sea transport, terminal handling, warehousing, and inland distribution from a single location. Direct access to roads, railways, and inland waterways will further strengthen supply chain connectivity in Belgium and across the wider European market.
Construction is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2027, subject to obtaining permits, and to be completed in the second quarter of 2028.

This project follows the awarding of the land concession for development and marks the next phase in the expansion of DP World's logistics presence in Antwerp.
