Rotterdam World Gateway (RWG) received its CO2 certificate for the fifth consecutive year, an accreditation that supported the container terminal's efforts to reduce its carbon footprint.
The facility stated that "this is not an isolated achievement, but the result of our daily work: with clear decisions in our operations and a constant focus on improvement."
"Sustainability is part of our daily practice. We have strategically invested in electric equipment, have fully automated systems, and design processes for maximum efficiency. As a result, we operate practically without CO2 emissions and maintain strict control over them," RWG highlighted.
"We offset what we cannot yet prevent through nature conservation projects in collaboration with OQ Value. These projects contribute to CO2 absorption and ecosystem restoration. In this way, we ensure that we not only reduce our emissions as much as possible but also take responsibility for the rest," the company affirmed.
"The impact of this approach is evident in our daily operations. Teams collaborate to create an efficient and safe working environment, equipment operates optimally, and we continuously refine our processes. This combination of technology, collaboration, and sound decisions makes the difference," RWG remarked.
