The Indian Embassy in Ukraine reported that the Palau-flagged cargo vessel AGN Ragnar was attacked in the Black Sea on 25 July. Two Indian crewmembers remain missing following the attack.

AGN Ragnar was struck by three drones while it was outbound through the Bystre Channel at the Danube's northern mouth. The remaining seven crew members, including two other Indian nationals, along with the pilot, were safely evacuated ashore by the Ukrainian Coast Guard.
The Indian Embassy in Ukraine stated that the situation is being closely monitored while the search and rescue operation is underway for the missing two Indian crewmembers.
The incident comes amid an escalation in maritime strikes linked to the Russia–Ukraine conflict in the Black Sea. Earlier on 18 July, the Saint Kitts and Nevis-flagged general cargo vessel Omorfi was struck by two drones while transiting the Black Sea. The vessel had 10 crewmembers including three Indian. The attack causing the death of an Indian Chief Officer while other two Indian crew remained safe.
The next day, on 19 July, four Indian seafarers died after the Guinea Bissau-flagged cargo vessel Golden Leo was hit by Russian missiles. Golden Leo had 17 crewmembers, including Indian and Syrian nationals. Eight were rescued and taken ashore, while 10, including a Ukrainian maritime pilot and 4 Indian seafarers, died in the attack.
