The general cargo vessel Lady Zehma registered under the flag of Panama was attacked and sustained significant damage while transiting the Black Sea after departing Odesa, Ukraine, on 21 July. All 22 crew members were reported safe, and no pollution or environmental contamination resulted from the incident.

The operator of Lady Zehma, GN Group Corporation, confirmed that the vessel was struck in two separate attacks. The first drone strike was at around 8:30 GMT, followed by a second rocket attack at around 11:30 GMT.
The emergency response procedures were promptly activated, while the company's shore emergency response team coordinated with the relevant maritime authorities and stakeholders.
All 22 crew members, comprising 19 Azerbaijani, one Turkish, one Ukrainian and one Egyptian seafarer, were safe with no injuries reported. As a precautionary measure, an independent medical doctor is scheduled to board the vessel and conduct medical examinations of all crew members.
According to the company, the 2005-built vessel sustained damage to one of its cargo holds, the hatch cover and adjacent deck structures during the attack.
Despite the damage, the 173-meter-long vessel remained under its own propulsion and continued its voyage while maintaining continuous communication with the company's emergency response team. The vessel's technical assessment is ongoing.
