The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority welcomed The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection as its new cruise line at the Port of Vancouver. The Luminara inaugurated the relationship and arrived as part of its new annual Alaska itinerary, marking the first of nine scheduled calls for the ultra-luxury line at the award-winning Canada Place terminal.
The luxurious vessel, with a capacity for 452 passengers, disembarked and embarked passengers, and restocked its provisions at Canada Place, before heading north through Canada's picturesque Inside Passage, en route to Alaska.
"We are delighted to welcome The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection to Vancouver and are confident that their guests will have an unforgettable experience starting their Alaska cruise in our beautiful port city," said Jane Banham, Director of Business Development at the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority.
The Canada Place cruise terminal at the Port of Vancouver has been a homeport for Alaska cruises for 40 years, serving as a starting point for countless round trips through the Inside Passage.
Luminara is one of nearly 360 cruise ships scheduled to call at the Canada Place terminal this year; each will inject approximately USD 2 million into the local economy and generate jobs across the country. A record number of 1.4 million passengers are expected to pass through the terminal in 2026.
