Norwegian Jade and Norwegian Gem now offer Norwegian Cruise Line's adults-only Vibe Beach Club and an enhanced thermal suite in the Mandara Spa and Salon. And Jade added a stand-alone Starbucks store.
"These recent transformations bring some of our most beloved amenities to Norwegian Jade and Norwegian Gem, creating greater consistency across our fleet while giving guests more ways to personalize their vacation, from adults-only outdoor spaces to serene relaxation areas designed to help them unwind at sea," NCL President Marc Kazlauskas said.
Work on the two Jewel-class ships took place before Norwegian Jade began its Alaska season, sailing between Vancouver, BC and Whittier, and before Norwegian Gem's Mediterranean and Greek Isles season with varied voyages from Civitavecchia (Rome) and Ravenna.
Later in 2026, Norwegian Gem will redeploy to Port Tampa Bay for Caribbean and Bahamas cruises, while Norwegian Jade returns to Asia.
The refreshed thermal suite on both ships now offers three times as many hot tile loungers, a more centralized layout with an upgraded reception area, updated steam rooms and saunas, and new relaxing and reinvigorating experiences.
These include a charcoal sauna that uses a radiant heat system with an outer charcoal layer, an ice room, a salt room, an IV lounge to deliver nutrients Four Senses Loungers for deep relaxation.
Additionally, Norwegian Jade offers new experiential showers with multiple water jets and lighting effects and a plunge pool for brief cold-water immersion. Norwegian Gem provides an updated hot tub and thalassotherapy pool with massage jets, bubble loungers and countercurrents.
Both Norwegian Jade and Norwegian Gem now provide an adults-only respite with the Vibe Beach Club, repurposing the existing sun deck on Deck 14. This outdoor oasis offers expansive ocean views, a private full-service bar, an additional hot tub, more than 50 premium lounge chairs and seven private cabanas.
In addition, Norwegian Jade now offers a stand-alone Starbucks store, where previously Starbucks coffees were available as part of the ship's Java Cafe.
NCL offers Starbucks across its fleet and at its private destinations.
