MSC Cruises has launched a new Digital Remote Check-In solution in Seattle, designed to streamline the embarkation process and deliver a seamless end-to-end experience to guests.
Introduced during the inaugural Alaska season of the MSC Poesia, the service enables guests traveling on MSC Cruises' official airport transfers to complete their cruise check-in at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport before arriving at the cruise terminal.
The company said in a press release that the remote check-in allows them to skip the traditional document verification and check-in steps at the port and proceed directly to boarding.
Having completed all required formalities in advance, guests can then proceed directly to security screening and boarding upon arrival at the terminal, bypassing the traditional check-in desks and significantly enhancing embarkation speed, allowing guests to begin their holiday even sooner, MSC added.
The solution will be extended to airports' arrivals, hotels and other selected locations where guests begin their journeys.
Following the launch in Seattle, MSC Cruises stated that it plans to progressively roll out Digital Remote Check-In across additional ports in its global network.
The initiative underscores the company's commitment to leveraging smart technology and integrating operations to elevate the guest journey, MSC Cruises said, adding that it will further strengthen efficiency, accuracy and the overall quality of the guest experience.
