Adora Cruises has added Japan port calls to the Adora Magic City's summer program, marking the company's return to Japanese destinations.
Calls to Japan had previously been cancelled in response to the national outbound travel advisory and shifting market conditions, redirecting capacity toward South Korea and Southeast Asia.
The Adora Magic City is the only Adora vessel with Japan calls on the 2026 calendar. It has operated primarily from Shanghai, with a mix of itineraries in Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia.
The updated summer itineraries see the Adora Magic City operating four- to six-night sailings from Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal with calls in Japan, alongside continued sailings to South Korean ports, including Busan and Jeju.
The Japan calls complement the ship's previously announced December 2026 deployment, which listed a Japanese port in the winter program.
Royal Caribbean's Spectrum of the Seas has included calls to Japan (Fukuoka, Nagasaki, Kagoshima) in its 2026 summer-to-autumn program, and MSC's Bellissima is scheduled to return to Shanghai on August 1 with Japan/Korea itineraries through late October.
The Adora Mediterranea's summer program out of Tianjin continues to focus on South Korea and Southeast Asia, and no Japan calls have been announced for the forthcoming Adora Flora City, which is set for delivery in November.
