Resumption of Operations in Chilean Ports After Storm

Some Chilean ports have resumed operations after the storm that forced the shutdown of maritime terminals since the night of Wednesday, July 15.

The Port of Valparaíso began receiving vessels at its berths from 10:30 PM on Saturday, July 18, with the arrival of the container ship Matthew Schulte at berth 3 of Terminal Pacífico Sur (TPS) and, in the early hours of Sunday, the call of the HMM Blessing at berth 1.

According to the shipping schedule of Empresa Portuaria Valparaíso (EPV), there are no scheduled arrivals - so far - at Terminal Portuario Valparaíso (TPV).

Meanwhile, the Port of San Antonio has all its berths occupied, after enabling the reception of vessels since Saturday night. The docks of San Antonio Terminal Internacional (STI), DP World San Antonio, Puerto Panul, and QC Policarpo Toro are active with ships.

In the Bio Bio Region, San Vicente Terminal Internacional (SVTI) hosted the call of two container ships during the morning of Saturday, July 18. Furthermore, the port facilities of DP World Lirquén and Puerto Coronel are also attending to vessels.

The maritime terminals located in Quintero Bay are without vessel activity, an area that continues to have operational restrictions due to the meteorological phenomenon.
