Finland: Port of Katajanokka Reports Positive Results in Air Quality Monitoring of its Operations
The Helsinki Region Environmental Services Authority (HSY) published air quality monitoring results for the Port of Katajanokka. In 2025, atmospheric pollutant concentrations were low. Sulfur dioxide emissions have decreased significantly since 2010 and 2015, while nitrogen dioxide concentrations have been halved in Helsinki's ports.
