The Partners Forum brought together the BCN Port Innovation ecosystem in a collaborative working session, the first step of the Foundation's new roadmap and the basis for its future strategic plan.
BCN Port Innovation is entering a more mature and structured phase, marked by team growth and the definition of roles and processes.
Last Wednesday, the BCN Port Innovation Foundation held its Partners Forum at the Club Natació Barcelona, a meeting aimed at sharing a joint reflection on the organization's current situation and beginning to define the foundations of its new roadmap.
The day included a dynamic that allowed participants to work collaboratively on the strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities of the BCN Port Innovation Foundation, with the aim of gathering insights from the ecosystem and identifying the main areas of value and improvement for the entity.
The work carried out during the Forum constitutes the first step of BCN Port Innovation's new roadmap and will serve as the basis for starting to plan the Foundation's future strategic plan. In this sense, the SWOT analysis is not an isolated exercise, but a working tool to organize the organization's new stage and ensure that its growth responds to the real needs of partners and the entire Port Community.
After three years of activity, the BCN Port Innovation Foundation has validated its necessity within the port ecosystem and has consolidated itself as a useful tool for connecting challenges, knowledge, companies, and innovative solutions. This new stage coincides with the growth of the team, which will continue to expand soon with the incorporation of four new people.
This reinforcement will allow the Foundation to gain capacity to drive projects, respond to more ecosystem needs, and move towards a more organized way of working, with more defined roles, processes, and priorities.
The Deputy General Director and Head of Organization and Internal Resources of the Port of Barcelona and the General Director of BCN Port Innovation, Catalina Grimalt, presented the conclusions of the session, before the institutional closing by the President of the Port of Barcelona and President of the Foundation, José Alberto Carbonell. In his speech, Carbonell highlighted that "this new stage requires us to transform the learning accumulated over these three years into a more structured, more focused organization with greater capacity to respond to the present and future challenges of the port ecosystem."
The president also thanked the partners for their trust and demands, and stressed that the contributions gathered during the Forum will help build a roadmap that is "solid, shared, and more aligned with what the Port of Barcelona and the Foundation's ecosystem need."
The day concluded with a dinner and networking space, reinforcing the role of the Partners Forum as a meeting point between BCN Port Innovation and the organizations that are part of its ecosystem.
