US Ships Escort Oil Tankers Through Hormuz at Night, Burgum Says
U.S. forces are escorting more than 20 oil tankers per night through the Strait of Hormuz under cover of darkness, according to US Interior Secretary Doug Burgum. With ultra-large carriers holding up to 2 million barrels of crude, the operation has moved substantial amounts of oil since sea mines were cleared. President Trump claimed more than 200 commercial ships and 100 million barrels have safely exited under the "secret mission" since late February.
