Cargo Vessel Undertakes Emergency Beaching Off Off Philippines; All 15 Crew Safe

The Gabon-flagged cargo vessel MSCI 1 conducted an emergency beaching on 8 June after encountering rough weather off the coast of Barangay Badoc, Philippines. The vessel was carrying gravel en route to Calayan Island when water entered its ballast tanks, causing it to list. All 15 crew members were safely evacuated through a coordinated response involving the Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine National Police, and local village watchmen.
