Fesco Transport Group (Fesco) achieved a record volume of import container shipments through Far Eastern ports in the first half of 2026, transporting nearly 140,000 TEU during this period.
This represents a 65% increase compared to the same period last year and a 19% increase compared to the previous peak, recorded in the first half of 2024.
One of the key factors driving this record result was the increase in imported cargo shipments through the regular Fesco China Direct Line (FCDL) sea service, which connects Chinese ports with the Commercial Port of Vladivostok (VSP). In the first half of 2026, the Group transported over 113,500 TEU via FCDL, representing a 72% increase compared to the previous year.
The growth was due to changes in the international container shipping market, which led to the reorientation of some import cargo flows towards routes through the Russian Far East. Fesco quickly adapted the FCDL service to the new market situation, increasing the line's capacity by adding additional vessels and optimizing its operations. This allowed it to offer its customers the necessary capacity during a period of increased demand.
The Fesco China Direct Line sea service includes three regular container lines connecting the Commercial Port of Vladivostok with major Chinese ports such as Shanghai, Ningbo, Xingang, Dalian, Rizhao, Lianyungang, Yantian, Nansha, and others. The combined capacity exceeds 5,000 TEU per week, and Fesco plans to further expand capacity between Chinese ports and Vladivostok.
