D'Amico International Shipping S.A. announced that its operating subsidiary d'Amico Tankers d.a.c. (Ireland) signed a Memorandum of Agreement for the sale of the vessel MT High Tide. The total sale price is USD 28.5 million, with delivery to the buyers in November 2026.
The vessel is a 51,768 DWT MR product tanker, built in 2012 by Hyundai Mipo, South Korea.
Thanks to this transaction, d'Amico Tankers will sell its oldest and last remaining non-eco unit in its fleet, and will generate approximately USD 28 million in cash upon delivery to the buyers, net of commissions.
Currently, the DIS fleet is composed of 28 double-hull product tankers (MR, Handysize, and LR1), of which 27 are owned and two are bareboat chartered, with an average age of approximately 9.8 years.
Carlos di Mottola, CEO of d'Amico International Shipping, stated that "I am pleased to announce the sale of the High Tide, the oldest and last non-eco vessel in our fleet, at a very attractive price compared to historical averages, reflecting the current strength of the product tanker market and its solid fundamentals."
"Following this transaction, the DIS fleet will be entirely eco-friendly, which will further enhance our commercial competitiveness and reduce our environmental impact," concluded Di Mottola.
