The Faroe Island-flagged general vessel Hav Nordic ran aground in the Norwegian Sea near Sletringen, Norway after it experienced engine failure on 15 June. No injuries or pollution were reported.
Strong wind drifted the vessel towards the coast, but the crew managed to deploy an anchor before it was fully driven ashore and remained aground. In the early hours of 16 June, the vessel refloated with the assistance of a tug.
The 75-meters-long vessel was subsequently escorted to Storholmen without further incident.
