Shipping company Ningbo Ocean Shipping Company (Nbosco) confirmed that it has placed an order for four 1,900 TEU container ships with the Chinese shipyard Wuchang Shipbuilding. The contract signed between both parties allows for the order to be extended by two additional vessels.
According to Alphaliner, the requested vessels will be of the Bangkokmax Sdari design, with a length of 171.95 meters and a beam of 27.5 meters. It is estimated that the container ships can be delivered to the company during 2028 or 2029.
Furthermore, it was detailed that "with the order for four units at Wuchang already confirmed, Nbosco's portfolio includes up to eight 4,300 TEU vessels and four 2,700 TEU vessels at Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard (GWS), a CSSC group specialist in small and medium-sized container ships," it was reported.
