Møkster announced that, together with Repsol Norge AS, they have agreed to extend the contract for the Stril Mariner for five years, starting October 1st, the date on which the current period ends.
The vessel will continue to perform its platform supply (PSV) and emergency response and rescue vessel (ERRV) duties in the Yme field.
The Stril Mariner is an oil platform supply vessel (PSV) of the Havyard 832 design, modified with a protected area for oil spill containment boom and a recovery area.
Yme is an oil field located in the southeastern part of the Norwegian sector of the North Sea, 130 kilometers northeast of the Ula field. The water depth is 100 meters under the two main structures, Gamma and Beta, which are 12 kilometers apart. The site has ceased operations on several occasions since its inauguration in 1996, but production resumed in 2021.
