SIX Extraportuario introduced its new Electronic Endorsement service, a 24/7 web channel that digitizes the process of reviewing, validating, and authorizing documents prior to the withdrawal of import cargo. The solution allows for remote processing of the procedure, with online traceability, and reduces waiting times by eliminating part of the in-person counter service.
With this implementation, the company advances in the modernization of a critical stage of the logistics chain, replacing in-person processes with a system that enables remote submission of requests, electronic payment for associated services, and automated controls to authorize cargo withdrawal. This reduces dependence on in-person procedures on-site and helps reduce errors and make various requirements more efficient.
The platform also includes integration with the terminal's operating system and electronic connection with Customs to consult the status and inspection conditions of import documents declared by agents, ensuring that the withdrawal is carried out in accordance with current requirements. In this way, SIX plays a role in facilitating cargo withdrawal, verifying customs and commercial conditions, while connecting key information between agencies, clients, and operations.
"With Electronic Endorsement, we eliminate travel and waiting at the counter, anticipate documentary observations, and improve gate flow. It is a concrete step in digital transformation that directly impacts times and service experience," highlighted Gerardo Lazcano, Operations Sub-Manager at SIX Extraportuario.
Among the main benefits of the new service are continuous availability, greater agility in management, fewer in-person visits to the terminal, and more transparency in tracking the status of the procedure. At an operational level, anticipating observations before the truck's arrival helps reduce congestion, improve the sequencing of operations, and increase yard productivity.
The implementation began in March 2026, and by the following month, 67% of endorsements at SIX terminals were already being managed through this new channel, reflecting rapid user adoption.
The company projects its next steps to be achieving 100% electronic channel usage, standardizing and digitizing cargo withdrawal announcements, and strengthening the control of announcements and transport from Gate Control to continue optimizing operational coordination.
