AD Ports Group announced the launch of its Intelligence Headquarters (IHQ), a global Group platform that employs thousands of digital workers and integrates AI across 20 global workstreams.
The platform's launch aligns with the UAE's National Artificial Intelligence Strategy, which aims to position the country as a global leader in AI by 2031, and underscores two decades of continuous investment by AD Ports Group in digital innovation.
Launched in the presence of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of the Government's Cybersecurity Council, at the Group's Digital District (Zayed Port), the new platform will accelerate the Group's digital transformation by systematically leveraging AI efficiency through an approach that prioritizes security, transparency, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
For AD Ports Group customers and partners, the launch of IHQ will progressively enhance the speed, efficiency, and customer-centricity of the services offered by the Group across its portfolio of ports, economic cities and free zones, maritime, logistics, and digital clusters.
Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Managing Director and Group CEO of AD Ports Group, stated that "in over 20 years, AD Ports Group has evolved from an Abu Dhabi-focused port operator to a global trade facilitator, offering a full range of port, transport, logistics, and industrial solutions. Investment in a robust digital foundation has made this possible."
"With IHQ, we are building on this foundation to create a company that continuously drives our ability to think, learn, and evolve as a global business. Under the wise guidance of our leadership in the UAE, IHQ will leverage AI as a force multiplier for our staff, in support of the National AI Strategy 2031."
Mohamed Jamal-Eddine, Group Chief Digital and Information Officer at AD Ports Group, noted that "at AD Ports Group, we will continue to invest at the forefront of the latest technologies to strengthen the UAE's position as the smartest trade hub in the world. IHQ will implement AI at an enterprise scale. Each work area selected for AI-driven transformation is at a critical juncture where artificial intelligence can significantly improve the speed, accuracy, and quality of decisions."
IHQ will focus on integrating AI capabilities into the Group's business workflows, enhancing efficiency, decision-making, and customer service, through a process of continuous improvement that accelerates profitable business expansion.
At the time of its launch, IHQ features several demonstrations of transformed workflows in different areas, including port and quay optimization, vessel arrival management, software development, and talent acquisition.
In the coming months, IHQ will enable the systematic enhancement of AI across AD Ports Group's 20 workstreams, thereby multiplying the Group's operational capacity.
In 2025, the holding company received a Guinness World Record for deploying the largest number of AI agents in a single logistics facility. That same year, the Group published its strategic plan "Creating Human-AI Teams: AD Ports Group's Strategic Plan for the Workforce of the Future," which describes how AI-powered agents are transforming its operations.
