Panama Canal Boosts Decarbonization Strategy with European Union Support
The Panama Canal Authority (ACP) is advancing its energy transition strategy through an alliance with the European Union and the Port of Algeciras, within the framework of the Global Gateway initiative. The project includes a decarbonization roadmap and feasibility studies to strengthen maritime connectivity through an energy and digital corridor. Representatives from Panama, Colombia, and Spain are participating in technical exchanges on port electrification and energy efficiency.
