DP WORLD EXPANDS LOW CARBON TRUCK PROGRAMME WITH NEW ELECTRIC HGV TRIAL
DP World is expanding its Low Carbon Truck Programme in the UK with the EVITA trial, enabling hauliers to rent and test electric HGVs from Mercedes-Benz, Volvo and MAN at costs aligned to diesel vehicles for 12-week periods beginning in July 2026 and running until 2029. The programme, which already has more than 1,500 trucks registered supporting over 60 UK hauliers, is expected to provide up to 100 trial opportunities over three years. Participating companies including Williams Shipping and ATL Haulage will use tracking systems to analyse vehicle performance and environmental impact.
