The Russian Ministry of Defense reported attacking two vessels linked to Ukraine, one of them a bulk carrier sailing in the Black Sea and another docked at the Port of Mykolaiv, along with causing damage to the port's own infrastructure.
"As a result of attacks carried out with loitering munitions and combat drones, the infrastructure facilities of the transshipment complex in the Port of Mykolaiv, used for the delivery and storage of military cargo, as well as fuel and lubricant tanks intended for the supply of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, were hit," the Russian state department communicated.
"In addition, in the strait (11 kilometers east of Odesa), unmanned aerial vehicles attacked a general cargo ship transporting military supplies to the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk," it added.
Russia and Ukraine have intensified their military activity in and around the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov in recent weeks, with attacks from both sides against dozens of vessels, including oil tankers and cargo ships.
