The Bermuda-flagged LNG tanker GasLog Shanghai was attacked off Oman. All the crewmembers aboard the vessel were safe with no injuries reported.

The vessel operator GasLog confirmed that its LNG carrier GasLog Shanghai was involved in an incident on July 31 while departing the Strait of Hormuz. The company, without disclosing the nature of the incident, stated that it had activated its emergency response, notified all relevant authorities and was assessing the condition of the vessel while assuring the safety of the crew.
The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) also reported an incident involving a LNG tanker that was hit by an unknown projectile 11 nautical miles northeast of Lima, Oman. The impact caused damage to the engine room of the vessel.
Following the incident, UKMTO stated that the vessel is not under command. No casualties or pollution were reported.
This marks the second GasLog vessel to be attacked in recent days. Earlier on 29 July the LNG tanker GasLog Salem was struck by a drone while berthed at the Port of Damietta on Egypt's Mediterranean coast. It was hit at the same time as the FSRU Energos Winter, which was berthed alongside at an adjacent berth.
GasLog Shanghai is a 2013-built LNG tanker that measures 285.12 meters in length, 43.4 meters in width and has a cargo capacity of 155,000 cubic metres (cbm) of LNG.
